Markia Monroe

Markia graduated with a Master’s of Education in Counseling and Development from Lamar University. During her toughest battles Markia’s favorite quote is “Your Willingness To Look Within Is What Empowers You To Change.” While dealing with grief at a very young age, Markia knew that she wanted to be a therapist and help others not feel alone with their emotions. She denotes herself as a “professional communicator” and has always had a passion for helping others.  

Markia believes that everyone DESERVES therapy, and she strives to curate a safe, inviting, and healing space for her clients. She believes that everyone has the ability to transform their lives from within. She views her role in therapy as being a guide to help you along your journey to wellness. Markia wants her clients to know that they are worth being healed. The three core values that she holds to the highest regard are: Empathy, Empowerment, and Self-Exploration.
