Arnesha Blanks

Arnesha is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Licensed Professional Counselors. Arnesha obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in General Psychology with a minor in Photography from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2010. Following graduation Arnesha completed an internship with the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences ( formerly known as the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office) and the Houston Police Department in the Juvenile Sex Crimes Division. Arnesha later attended the University of Texas at Tyler where she studied Clinical Psychology for a Master of Science Degree and was inducted into Psi Chi the Psychology National Honor Society. Arnesha is also a member of the Texas Counseling Association, Black Professionals Behavioral Health Alliance and National Board-Certified Counselors.

Arnesha has worked with The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD for over six years. While there she experienced opportunities for growth from Master's Level Clinician to Clinical Team Leader of the Psychiatric Emergency Services Department. Arnesha has worked with individuals in crisis that have experienced a range of traumas, including but not limited to acute psychosis, chronic depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and more.
